Insurance: As an international student in Australia, you will be required to purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) which will provide cover for medical and hospital care for the entire duration of your study in Australia. An approved OSHC policy should be purchased from a registered health benefits organisation before you apply for your Visa. International students studying in Australia, along with their dependents (such as spouses and children under 18 years old) must all be covered by OSHC while staying in Australia.
